Our Programs
From babies to big kids, every classroom at Higher Peaks has its own routine, its own lesson plans and teachers who know your child by name. Our preschool classrooms use The Creative Curriculum®, a nationally recognized, state-approved program, and we add plenty of stories, music and outdoor time.
Infants
BabiesOur nursery is calm, warm and cozy, just like home. Your baby's primary caregiver follows your routine for bottles, naps and playtime so every day feels familiar. While your baby plays, they are also learning: each week the teacher plans activities for movement, language, senses, thinking skills and bonding with others.
Toddlers
ToddlersToddlers are busy explorers! Fun learning activities and creative playtime help them discover the world, while a steady routine gives them structure. As your toddler grows, we add new routines that match their growing skills.
Early Preschool
Ages 2 - 3A gentle step from toddler room to preschool. Your child's day includes:
- Friendship-building and critical thinking games
- Small group learning
- Story time with a focus on early reading and good character
- Music and movement
- Outside time every day
Preschool
PreschoolersThe preschool years are full of creativity and social growth. Our day is packed with hands-on experiences in language, math, science, social studies, music and art. Story time builds letter sounds, letter recognition and early writing, and teaches character traits like responsibility, patience and respect.
Our goals: confidence and responsibility, getting along with others, big and small motor skills, problem solving and logical thinking.
Pre-K
Kindergarten-boundPre-K gets your child ready for the big step into kindergarten. Lessons build on your child's own interests, and teachers track progress all year so you know exactly how your child is doing and what comes next.
Before & After School
School ageBefore school: Mornings start early, and so do we! Drop off as early as 6:00am. We serve a healthy breakfast and take your child to school.
After school: We pick your child up from school, serve an afternoon snack and help with homework, then it's time for arts, games and outdoor play until you arrive. We are open until 8:00pm.
School Breaks & Summer Camp
School ageOn winter and spring breaks, teacher workdays and all summer, school-age children join us for full days with field trips, special guests and hands-on projects. Ask about summer openings early!
